Iohan Coman is a distinguished Romanian violinist currently studying at the Royal Academy of Music in London under the tutelage of So-Ock Kim. He has led the Royal Academy of Music Chamber Orchestra under Trevor Pinnock and performed alongside the London Philharmonic Orchestra in a side-by-side concert led by Edward Gardner. His solo performances have graced prestigious venues like Wigmore Hall and Milton Court in London, featuring works such as Piazzolla's ‘Seasons'. Tim Homfray wrote in ‘The Strad': ‘Iohan Coman concluded the work with a vivacious display of rapid-fire pyrotechnics and muscularity in ‘Spring'. In February, Iohan performed with the Chamber Orchestra alongside Barbara Hannigan, and in May, he delivered a solo performance at Wigmore Hall. His dedication and talent have earned him the Royal Philharmonic Society's Emily Anderson Prize. He was also recently awarded the Countess of Munster Trust, further recognizing his outstanding musical abilities and commitment to his craft. Iohan Coman plays a Cuypers violin kindly loaned to him through the Beare's International Violin Society by a generous sponsor.
Dominika Mak is a Polish classical pianist, currently undertaking the Master of Arts course at the Royal Academy of Music under the tutelage of Christopher Elton. While completing her BA and MPhil in Music at Trinity College, Cambridge, Dominika became the Artistic Director of a Trinity College Music Society, a choral soprano in Trinity College Choir, Cambridge under Stephen Layton OBE, a Chopin scholar, an avid accompanist, and a solo pianist. In the past, Dominika has benefited from tuition from professors Pascal Nemirovski at the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire, and Graham Caskie at Chethams' School of Music. She is the laureate of various competitions, such as the National EPTA Competition, the Edith Leigh Prize, the Arthur Bliss Lieder Scheme with baritone Florian Störtz, the IAS award in Cambridge etc. Dominika has given performances at St John's Smith Square, St Martin-in-the-Fields, West Road Concert Hall in Cambridge and other venues. Dominika has benefitted from masterclasses from Yevgeny Subdin, Katya Apekisheva, Stephen Hough, Joseph Middleton and others.
