Ashley Fripp was born in 1989 and studied at the Junior Department of the Royal College of Music and at the Purcell School with Emily Jeffrey. He reached the finals of the Keyboard Section of the BBC Young Musician of the Year in 2004, and has won many competitions for young pianists, including the 1 st Glasgow International Competition and the European Piano Teachers' Association Piano Competition. He has given solo performances in many prestigious venues, including the Wigmore Hall and St Johns Smith Square . He is also a talented composer, winning the BBC Proms/Guardian Young Composers' Competition in 2004, which resulted in his composition being broadcast on Radio 3. He now studies at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, with Ronan O'Hara.
