Evelina Puzaite was born in Lithuania in 1982, and in her teens won many prizes in International Competitions including First Prize at the Dvarionas Competition in Vilnius 1997 and First Prize in Tel-Hai (Israel) International Piano Competition 1999. In 2000 she was admitted to the Lithuanian Academy of Music, and in 2001 won a Scholarship to study with Joan Havill at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama. She was the winner of the Professional Recital Prize of the Oxford Music Festival in 2002 and Second Prizewinner at the Dudley Piano competition in 2003, and has won various other awards and scholarships. Evelina's recent performances have been at the Barbican Hall, Wigmore Hall, Purcell Room, Royal Festival Hall and the opening performance of the Brighton festival. Recently she became one of the winners of the Philip & Dorothy Green Young Concert Artists Award and a winner of The Abstract Securities Landor Competition. She has performed many times with the Lithuanian Chamber and Lithuanian Symphony Orchestras. As a recitalist she has performed throughout Lithuania, Russia, Israel, Sweden, Greece and many countries in Western Europe as well as in the USA. She has an exclusive recording deal with Landor, and her first CD was released in 2007.
Gillian Findlay (violin) studied with Trevor Williams at the Royal Academy of Music, and in Indiana , USA . She won the Sacha Lasserson violin competition in 1981. She joined the London Symphony Orchestra, and has subsequently worked with most of the major London orchestras, and is Leader of the British Concert Orchestra. She teaches at the Trinity College of Music, and has lived in Ealing for many years.
Jennie Brown (cello) was born in London , and studied at the Royal Academy of Music, winning many prizes. She has subsequently played in the Royal Opera House Orchestra and in the London Symphony Orchestra, and has performed and broadcast widely.
Elizabeth Marcus (piano) was born in Brighton and studied at the Guildhall school. She has performed widely as accompanist and chamber musician, both in concert and on radio and television. She now works at the Guildhall school as staff accompanist and vocal coach.
