Fellow of the Jeunesses Musicales du Canada, pianist Élisabeth Pion (b.1996) is currently pursuing the Artist Masters - Performance degree at the Guildhall School of Music & Drama in London, with Ronan O'Hora, as a full scholarship recipient of this institution. She holds both Bachelor and Artist Diplomas from the Conservatoire de musique de Montréal, where she studied with Suzanne Goyette and André Laplante, and graduated at the unanimity of the jury with the highest mention, "Grande Distinction". Élisabeth has notably won the 1st prize of the Thousand Islands International Piano Competition, the 1st Prize of the Shean Piano Competition, the Guildhall Wigmore Recital Prize and the Musician's Company Silver Medal. She has notably worked in masterclasses with Nikolai Lugansky, Till Fellner, Stephen Hough, Boris Berman, Christian Blackshaw, Richard Goode and Robert Levin. Elisabeth was named in the 2018 CBC Palmares 30 Hot Canadian Musicians under 30 and was also among La Scena Musicale Magazine's 15 Risings Stars of 2018. She will play with the Edmonton Symphony Orchestra during their 2020-2021 season, as winner of the Shean Competition, and will make her Wigmore Hall solo recital debut on June 15th 2020.
