Julian Trevelyan was a laureate in the Long-Thibaud-Crespin 2015 international piano competition – at the age of 16 one of the youngest laureates in its history.  More recently, he was awarded the Luitpold prize for the most promising young artist at the 2017 Kissinger Summer Festival;  and 2nd prize and audience prize in the Dudley International Piano Competition in November 2017.  In September 2018, he was awarded second prize in the Dumortier international piano competition. He has performed in Switzerland, France, Russia, Poland, Germany and Hungary.  Julian is now based in Paris, where he studies at the Ecole Normale.  In November 2016 he gave the world premiere performance of Howard Blake's Snowman Rhapsody, a solo piano concert arrangement of music drawn from the film and stage show.  He also plays the violin and enjoys acting.  He is a keen geologist and has a first class BSc honours degree in the subject from the Open University.
