Fenella Humphreys enjoys a busy career combining chamber music and solo work. Performances have taken her around the world to venues including the Wigmore Hall, the South Bank Centre, and the new Helsinki Music Centre. She performs widely as soloist. Her first concerto recording, of Christopher Wright's Violin Concerto for Dutton Epoch with the Royal Scottish National Orchestra and Martin Yates was released in 2012 to great critical acclaim and was selected as Orchestral CD of the Month in a 5 star review in the BBC Music Magazine. A number of eminent British composers have written works for Fenella, both in her own right and as a former member of the Lawson Trio. During 2014/15 Fenella premiered Bach to the Future, a set of 6 new unaccompanied violin works by Cheryl Frances-Hoad, Gordon Crosse, Sally Beamish, Adrian Sutton, Piers Hellawell and Sir Peter Maxwell Davies. The project has been recorded over two CDs for Champs Hill Records. The first of these discs, released in August 2015 was picked by BBC Music Magazine as October's Instrumental disc of the month,and the recently released second CD received the same accolade in January 2017's issue, and was Editor's Choice in Gramophone Magazine in February 2017.

Fenella is a passionate chamber musician, and has collaborated with artists including Alexander Baillie, Adrian Brendel, Pekka Kuusisto, Alec Frank-Gemmill and Martin Lovett, and is regularly invited by Steven Isserlis to take part in the prestigious Open Chamber Music at the International Musicians' Seminar, Prussia Cove. Concertmaster of the Deutsche Kammerakademie, Fenella also enjoys guest leading and directing various ensembles in Europe. She studied at the Purcell School, the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, and the Robert-Schumann-Hochschule in Düsseldorf where she was awarded the highest attainable marks both for the 'Diplom' exam and the 'Konzertexamen' soloists' diploma. Fenella plays a beautiful violin from the circle of Peter Guarneri of Venice, kindly on loan from Jonathan Sparey.

Hailed as 'a major new talent' International Piano and a ‘pianist of splendid individuality' Arts Desk English pianist Sam Armstrong has made solo recital debuts at the Concertgebouw Amsterdam, Carnegie Hall's Weill Recital Hall in New York as well as at the Wigmore Hall in London, and as concerto soloist with the National Symphony of Ecuador. Passionate about chamber music, he has performed with musicians including Ralph Kirshbaum, William Bennett, Hannah Roberts, Ju-Young Baek and Randall Scarlata in festivals such as Aldeburgh, Cheltenham, Mecklenburg-Vorpommen, Prussia Cove Open Chamber Music, Ravinia and in venues such as Seoul Arts Centre, Esplanade Singapore, Kumho Art Hall Seoul, and Manchester's Bridgewater Hall. He has been broadcast on BBC Radio 3, Radio Suisse-Romande/Espace 2, WQXR New York, WFMT Chicago and Radio New Zealand. He was a prize winner in the Porto International Piano Competition, the Brant Piano Competition, Beethoven Society of Europe Competition, and was also laureate of the Epinal International Piano Competition in France. He has received awards from the Philharmonia Orchestra/MMSF, MBF/Help Musicians Fund, Wingate Foundation, Kirckman Concert Society and the Solti Foundation. He studied with Helen Krizos in Manchester at the Royal Northern College of Music and later in New York with Richard Goode at Mannes College of Music. He also worked in masterclasses with Leon Fleisher, Murray Perahia, Pierre-Laurent Aimard and Mitsuko Uchida.
