Winner of the Leeds International Piano Competition 2015, Anna Tsybuleva was born in 1990 in Russia, and studied in Volgodonsk. From 2003 to 2014 she studied at the Moscow Central Music School and at the Moscow State Conservatory, graduating with top honours and “the best student 2014” award. At present she is a post-graduate student at the Moscow Conservatory, while also studying at the Basel Music Academy. Alongside many solo piano recitals, since 2000 Anna has also performed with a number of important Russian orchestras. She has also performed in Japan with the Tokyo Symphony Orchestra under Inoue Michiyoshi and the Takamatsu Symphony Orchestra under Hideaki Hirai. She recently performed Brahms 2nd Piano Concerto with the Halle Orchestra under Sir Mark Elder in Leeds, and with the St. Petersburg Philharmonic Orchestra in St. Petersburg. In 2012 Anna Tsybuleva took part in International Gilels Piano competition in Odessa (Ukraine), where she has won the 1st prize. The same year Anna was one of the winners of prestigious Hamamatsu Piano competition (Hamamatsu, Japan). Anna Tsybuleva has performed at a number of international music festivals in Russia, United States, Europe and Japan.

In June 2015 Anna Tsybuleva won 1st Prize at the prestigious Leeds International Piano Competition, leading to many important engagements both in the UK and internationally, including the Mariinsky and St Petersburg Philharmonic Orchestras, the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, and recitals at the Salle Cortot Paris, Tonhalle Zurich, Wigmore Hall, Bozar in Brussels, Ruhr Klavier Festival and Philharmonie Luxembourg. Other future engagements include the Halle and Opera North Orchestras, and various UK festivals. She recently made her debut in Hong Kong, and was immediately re-invited.
