The Jordanian-Palestinian pianist Iyad Sughayer is regarded as one of the Middle East's most promising young artists. Iyad has already performed numerous recitals and concertos across the United Kingdom, Europe and the Middle East. He has been a soloist with many orchestras including the European Chamber Orchestra, Manchester Camerata, the Royal Northern College of Music Symphony Orchestra, Chetham's Symphony Orchestra, the Prague Youth Orchestra and the Cairo and Amman Symphony Orchestras. Born in Amman in 1993, Iyad received his first lessons at the age of five and made his first concerto appearance at the age of eight. In 2008, he joined Chetham's School of Music in Manchester, and has since been the recipient of many prizes and awards including first prize in the Chetham's Concerto Competition. In 2012, he was awarded a full scholarship to study at the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester, where he won both the RNCM Concerto Competition and the EPTA Piano Competition . He is currently completing his masters degree at Trinity Laban Conservatoire on a full scholarship.

Iyad is highly regarded for his interpretation of the works of Mozart and Haydn. His wide repertoire includes works by Beethoven, Liszt, Schubert, Medtner, Schumann, Chopin as well as some unfairly neglected composers such as Khachaturian, Bechara El-Khoury and John McLeod. His most recent performances have taken place in notable concert halls such as the Bridgewater Hall in Manchester and the Bath Pump Rooms together with London venues including the Reform Club, Steinway Hall, St Martin-in-the-Fields and St James's Piccadilly. Future engagements will include his debut in Germany at the Laeiszhalle Hamburg, a chamber concert with the principals of the Manchester Camerata as well as the world premiere of Edwin Roxburgh's Concerto for Piano and Wind Orchestra with conductor Timothy Reynish.
