Costanza Principe was born in Italy in 1993 and graduated with honours from the Conservatorio Giuseppe Verdi in Milan, and now studies at the Royal Academy of Music. She has won several national and international competitions, such as the Lilian Davies Prize from the Royal Academy of Music, the second prize at the Beethoven Society of Europe Intercollegiate Piano Competition, the second prize (first not awarded) at the Premio Pecar International Competition in Gorizia, Italy, and the second prize at the Concours International de Piano in Lagny sur Marne. She has played in many prestigious concert halls and festivals in Italy, England, France and South America such as Verdi Hall, Puccini Hall, Milan Auditorium, Piccolo Theatre, Milan State and Bocconi Universities, Fraschini Teathre in Pavia, Serate Musicali, Spazio Teatro 89, Lyceum in Florence Dal Verme Theatre in Milan, Steinway Hall in London,Teatro 1ro de Mayo in Santa Fe (Argentina). She made her orchestral debut in London this year performing Prokofiev's Second Piano Concerto with the Academy Symphony Orchestra in the Duke's Hall of the Royal Academy of Music. Further engagements include taking part in a Mozart Concerti cycle in Bergamo, Milano and Pavia and, as she has been selected by the Kirckman Concert Society, a Wigmore Hall debut recital. Her performances have been broadcast on Radio Classica and Italian TV. She won two consequent awards from the Martin Musical Scholarship Fund in 2013 and 2014, and currently studies with Christopher Elton at the Royal Academy of Music, generously supported by the Liversidge Award and the Hilda Day Scholarship.
