Violinist Jamie Campbell was born in London in 1982. After reading music at Clare College, Cambridge he continued his studies in Vienna, London and Madrid. He is the founder and Leader of the Solstice Quartet and a founder member and Principal 2nd violin of Aurora Orchestra. As leader of the Dmitri Ensemble he has made critically acclaimed recordings for Harmonia Mundi with the conductor Graham Ross and recorded MacMillan's ‘Seven Last Words' for Naxos. In addition Jamie appears regularly as guest leader with the London Sinfonietta, with Aurora Orchestra, with the English Chamber Orchestra and with the St. Endellion Festival Orchestra. Chamber music partners have included Steven Isserlis, Ian Bostridge, Natalie Clein, Ashley Wass, Tom Poster and Guy Johnston. He recently lead the Leondari Ensemble in the inaugural Whittington International Chamber Music Festival, performing the complete chamber works of Brahms.

The Dutch cellist Karel Bredenhorst (born 1978) performs internationally as a soloist and chamber musician. His most recent concerts have taken him to from Germany, Italy, Great Britain, Austria, Switzerland and Estonia up to Brazil, USA and Nepal. Karel plays regularly with Cuarteto Soltango and Duo Verzaro, is a member of Cello8ctet Amsterdam and is founder and artistic director of the Cervo Chamber Music festival in Italy. He studied in Holland and in Lu ¨ beck, Germany, where he graduated from the soloist class with distinction and the highest grade in all subjects. As a recitalist and chambermusician he has performed at numerous major festivals throughout Europe. He won several prizes with his former string quartet "En-Accord".

Simon Callaghan (piano) studied at Chetham's School of Music and gained a scholarship to the Royal College of Music, where he graduated with First Class Honours and won various prizes. He won the Prix Special in the 8th Concours International Jean Francaix in Paris, and has won prizes in various other international competitions. He has performed concertos and solo recitals through the UK in all the major concert halls, and will undertake concert tours in UK, Austria, Germany and Switzerland. He has a busy career performing, teaching, and organising chamber music concerts, and is a particularly well-regarded chamber musician. He is Artistic Director of Conway Hall Sunday Concerts, the longest-running chamber music series in Europe. This year he will make his debut concerto recording for Hyperion with the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra and Martyn Brabbins.
