Thomas Carroll (cello) was born in Swansea and studied at the Yehudi Menuhin School and with Heinrich Schiff in Austria. He is one of only two artists who auditioned successfully for both Young Concert Artists Trust in London and Young Concert Artists, Inc. in New York. He has since gone on to give critically acclaimed debut recitals at Wigmore Hall (London) and elsewhere. Much in demand as a chamber musician, Thomas has worked with many eminent soloists and chamber ensembles, including Yehudi Menuhin, Ivry Gitlis, Gidon Kremer and Steven Isserlis etc, and performed at the Edinburgh and Cheltenham International Festivals, among many others. Engagements over the last year have included concerts at Wigmore Hall, the Louvre in Paris and the Konzerthaus in Vienna etc. and he has appeared as soloist with the BBC Concert Orchestra at the Queen Elizabeth Hall (broadcast by BBC Radio 3), Royal Philharmonic Orchestra and the London Philharmonic Orchestra. This season sees a continuation of recitals in series and festivals throughout the UK, South Africa and Europe. Thomas is a Professor at the Royal College of Music in London and the Yehudi Menuhin School.

Nicola Eimer (piano) began her studies in London with Danielle Salamon, and subsequently studied at the Royal Academy of Music and at the Juilliard School in New York. She won the 2005 Royal Overseas League Piano Competition, was a major prize-winner at the 2003 Dudley International Piano Competition, a winner of the Tillett Trust Young Artists Platform Award, and a finalist at the 2003 YCAT auditions. She is an Associate of the Royal Academy of Music, where she teaches piano and chamber music.

Alena Lugovkina (flute) was born in Moscow and studied at the Gnesins Special Music School, at the Royal Academy of Music and at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama. She won 1st Prize at the RAM competition “J&J Brough Prize”, as well as 1st Prize at the 13th International Flute Competition “Friedrich Kuhlau” in Germany and 1st Prize at the British Flute Society's Competitions. She has performed at the most prestigious UK venues including Royal Festival Hall, Buckingham Palace, Wigmore Hall and Barbican Hall, has toured throughout the world and has won several prestigious awards. She has recently played as a Guest Principal with the Philharmonia Orchestra and BBC National Orchestra of Wales, and has played with various other leading orchestras.
