Darío Llanos Javierre studied at the Real Conservatorio Superior de Música de Madrid. In 2010, he graduated, achieving the highest possible mark: Matrícula de Honor. In 2014 he was awarded the first prize in the International Piano Prize organised by the Liszt Society in London for his interpretation of the Troisième Année of Liszt's Années de Pèlerinage. Since then, he has given series of recitals across the North east of England and, recently, has been invited to perform in London for The Liszt Society, during their Annual General Meeting in 2015.

He has performed solo and with his chamber music groups in Spain, the United Kingdom, France and Germany. He is also a répétiteur and accompanist for singing teacher Manuela de Águeda, collaborating with outstanding singers such as Susana Cordón or Ángel Chirinos. He has premiered works by Alexander Tchaikovsky (Professor/Director of the Composition department at the Moscow Tchaikovsky Conservatory), Kuzma Bodrov (Alexander Tchaikovsky's assistant in Moscow), Manuel Seco (Head of the Composition department at the Real Conservatorio Superior de Música de Madrid) and Diego Ramos (violinist and composer at the Ensemble Modern, Frankfurt).
