Indira Grier is currently studying with Alexander Chaushian. Previously she was taught by Melissa Phelps and then by Troels Svane at the Musikhochschule Luebeck. She held a scholarship at the Junior Royal Academy of Music, and during her time there won all available prizes, including the 2013 Concerto Competition with her performance of the Elgar Cello Concerto. Indira has twice been awarded the Junior Guilhermina Suggia Gift (2010 & 2012), a prestigious national cello competition administered by the Musicians Benevolent Fund. She has also won prizes at the 2012 Bromsgrove International Young Musicians Platform and the 2014 Tunbridge Wells International Young Concert Artists Competition. Indira has performed across the UK and in Germany, Switzerland and Italy. In July 2014 Indira participated in the Schleswig-Holstein Festival in the class of Frans Helmerson, and in the 2015 IMS Prussia Cove Masterclasses. Since September 2014 she has been reading English at UCL.

Francis Grier was organ scholar at King's College, Cambridge and went on to become the organist of Christ Church Cathedral, Oxford, and gave the first ever Prom concert given over to a solo performer in 1985. He is now a psychoanalyst and composer. In recent years he has written two Masses for St Paul's Cathedral, a Mass for Christ Church Cathedral Choir. In 2014 Stephen Cleobury directed the choir of King's College Cambridge in his new setting of the Vespers, …lit by holy fire. He has had three works shortlisted for British Composer Awards, one of which gained the award. As a chamber music pianist Francis has performed with Colin Carr, Louise Williams, Andrew Marriner, and Dorothee Jansen. Recently he recorded with Joshua Bell and Steven Isserlis.
