Mayumi Fujikawa (violin) was born in Japan, and studied at the Toho Conservatoire in Tokyo, and subsequently in Belgium, before her success in the 1970 Tchaikowsky Competition in Moscow. Since then her career has taken her throughout the world, appearing with all the major orchestras and conductors in the UK and USA. She has made several outstanding CDs, and appeared at the Proms, the Aldeburgh and Edinburgh Festivals etc. She has performed chamber music with Michael Roll, Jorge Federico Osorio and Richard Markson in addition to appearances with Andre Previn, Ralph Kirshbaum, Nobuko Imai and Peter Frankl. She and her husband, Richard Markson, have lived in Ealing for many years, and are loyal supporters of St Mary's.  

Yuhka Nagai (violin) was born in Japan and graduated in 2014 from the Royal Academy of Music as a student of Mayumi Fujikawa, and is currently continuing her studies at the Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance. An active solo and chamber musician, Yuhka has been a member of a variety of chamber music ensembles. She is currently the first violinist of the Kodo Quartet which won The Richard Carne Intercollegiate String Quartet Competition 2015.

Robin Wedderburn (viola) studied violin and viola at the Royal Academy of Music, with Manoug Parikian, and at King's College, Cambridge. He was Head of Strings at St Paul's School, Barnes for many years. He is an experienced coach and conductor, and has participated in the annual courses run by the Scottish Schools Orchestral Trust for the past 10 years.

Richard Markson (cello) became a pupil of Tortelier at the age of 12.  He later worked with Fournier.  He has completed twenty-six world tours as a solo cellist. In recent years he has also developed a conducting career, working with orchestras in Australasia and South America. He partnered Michael Roll and Mayumi Fujikawa in a piano trio for many years, and performed in a duo with Jorge Federico Osorio. He has recorded the complete Bach Suites for Meridian Records and the complete Beethoven and Brahms Sonatas with Jorge Federico Osorio for ASV & Regis respectively.

Miriam Wakeling (cello) graduated with honours from the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama in 2006 before studying at Trinity Laban Convervatoire with Richard Markson and Natalia Pavlutskaya. Sh is currently working in London as a free-lance cellist and teacher. She is a founding member of the Bedriska Trio and Quartet Volute, both of which have won major awards. She also has a successful duo, and is involved in educational and outreach work.

Oliver Markson (piano) was born in London and studied at the Royal Academy of Music. He was awarded first prize in the EPTA piano competition. Since then he has completed a Masters course at the Manhattan School of Music, New York, and a doctorate at the CUNY Graduate Center. With engagements to date in Japan, Mexico, Brazil, Europe, Thailand and United States, Oliver Markson is establishing himself internationally as a concert pianist.
