Caroline Wolff (violin) grew up in New York City and went on to study at Columbia University, Indiana University and the New England Conservatory. As a member of the Fidelio String Quartet (prizewinners in the London International String Quartet Competition) Caroline performed throughout the United States and Europe. She has appeared at numerous festivals including those of Tanglewood, Taos, Norfolk, Schleswig-Holstein, Prussia Cove and Santa Fe, as well as on series such as Bargemusic in New York, Emmanuel Music in Boston and St. John's College Chamber Music in Oxford.

Melissa Phelps (cello) has been described by The Guardian as ‘one of the most talented cellists of her generation'. She has played throughout the world as soloist and recitalist, and is in wide demand as a chamber music player. She studied with Paul Tortelier, and with Joan Dickson at the Royal College of Music, where she won the top cello prize. She is a very highly respected teacher, having taught at the Guildhall School and the Menuhin School, and she is currently Professor at the Royal College of Music. Several of the leading younger British cellists were her pupils. Melissa Phelps has premièred many important new works in the UK including pieces by Witold Lutoslawski, Roger Smalley and Mark Anthony Turnage.

John York (piano) is well known as a musician of personality and compelling enthusiasm in a wide range of pianistic and pedagogic activities. His career, launched in 1973 when he was awarded the International Debussy Prize in Paris has taken him around the world as soloist, with such orchestras as the London Philharmonic and London Mozart Players, and as a chamber music partner, primarily with cellist Raphael Wallfisch, and in the piano duo team of York2. He is often a guest with international artists such the Allegri quartet, the Lindseys, the Wihan quartet, the Beethoven String Trio of London, singers Patricia Rozario and Sarah Walker, violist Rivka Golani, among many others. He is a Professor of 32 years' standing at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama and Senior Music Head at St. Paul's Girls' School. His lively, informative and entertaining work as writer and reviewer for 'Piano' Magazine and ‘Tempo' Quarterly is a further reflection of his rounded musical character.
